Guy Fawkes 10 Race 2010
The next Guy Fawkes will be held on Sunday 31st October 2010
Online entries should be available in May 2010
The race starts at 10:30 from Ripley in North Yorkshire (Postcode HG3 3AY).
It is an accurately measured hilly course with the first and last miles on forest trail and bridle ways. The race finishes in the stunning Ripley Castle Courtyard.

- £100 prize for each course record currently standing at: Men - Tomas Abyu 52:23 (2004), Women - Tracey Morris 59:48 (2003)
Race Information
Please note that the course is NOT suitable for wheelchair racers and dogs are not permitted.
RACE NUMBERS: Race numbers will be available for collection on the day from the race HQ in the Village Hall. Please arrive in time to collect your number.
Directions to Race Venue: Ripley is 3 miles north of Harrogate on the A61 Ripon Road. The post code for the event centre is HG3 3AY.
Car Parking: There is ample parking for competitors and supporters in Ripley. Please follow directions. Do not park at the side of the road in Ripley, as you will be blocking the route.
Changing and Toilets: There will be toilet facilities available in the main car park and outside the race HQ. Unfortunately we are unable to provide any changing or showering facilities.
Start: Competitors should congregate near the START sign in the main car park and wait to be marshalled to the start line.
Drinks: There will be 2 drinks stations on route, in Birstwith at 4 miles, and at 7 miles after the bridge in Hampsthwaite. Drinks will also be provided at the finish.
First Aid: Qualified first aid assistance will be in attendance in Ripley and a respoinse vehicle. There will be a sick bay in the Race HQ.
Medical Advice: Please do not run if you feel unwell. If you suffer from any medical condition, please write the details on the back of your number.
Time Limit: There will be an official time limit of 13 mins per mile (2 hours and 10 minutes overall).
Results: Race results are being compiled by UK Results and will be available on both UK Results and Nidd Valley Club websites.
Race Abandonment: We sincerely hope that abandonment decisions are unnecessary. However should we be unfortunate runners will be informed as soon as a decision is made. Unfortunately entry refunds will not be possible, as many of the race expenses will have been incurred.
