New Home.....Same Great Welcome!
I'm delighted that we are starting a New Year in a new home - Harrogate Hockey Club (directions elsewhere on this site).
After residing at Harrogate Railway AFC since 1991, we felt that the time was right to move, and here we are! I'm sure that all members, new and not so new, will really relish the quality of facilities we can now provide. If you haven't visited the Club for some time, or you are new to the sport and fancy checking us out - please do come down and take a look round. You'd be more than welcome!
In the last 12 months, we've significantly increased our membership by 20%. It's been teriffic to welcome so many new faces into the Club, so don't be shy about popping down and saying "Hello". If you'd like 2010 to be the year you start running, we can help you whatever your goals or aspirations. Whether you wish to run to be competitive in races, or simply to enjoy improved fitness or the social side of our activities, we offer a friendly and supportive environment in which to do so. We provide structured training programmes on a Tuesday evening (supported by our 2 UK Athletics Accredited Coaches, Mike and Emma)and a more general group run on Thursday evenings around the local highways and byways (not that we see too much of the byways on the dark nights of Winter).
Throughout our activities, the emphasis is on fun, friendship and improving running ability - tailored to all levels.
